Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette and Sketch Marker

I bought this palette and eye liner pen a while ago. I’ve been meaning to write this post for a while but it just caught up with other things and it ended up in my drafts and I didn’t get around to it. It’s a good thing though as it’s given me time to experiment more with each product and make up my mind about them.

Too Faced – ‘Sketch Marker LIQUID ART’ liner £17.00 (Charcoal Black)

I’ve been using the Supercat eyeliner pen by Soap & Glory for years now and absolutely love it. I decided to branch out and try another brand – after testing this sketch marker I decided to give it a go. The first thing I have to say is that I really wanted it in the shade ‘Deep Black’ which is the shade I tried out but somehow ended up with Charcoal Black (silly me, aye). Regardless of this, I’m still not very keen on this eyeliner at all.

I found that when I applied it onto my eyelid it looked kind of see-through and not very bold at all. The colour was a little grey-er than I wanted but this was probably because of the shade I ended up with. However the eyeliner itself didn’t seem to be massively pigmented. I tried this eyeliner a few times as I really wanted to like it as I feel like £17.00 is a lot for an eyeliner I’m not fussed on. I liked the thinness of the pen as it helped get accuracy when drawing my wing eyeliner but the pigment just wasn’t there for me. Even though I was happy with the way that I could create different looks with it, I was overall disappointed with how this product looked.

Too Faced – ‘Sweet Peach’ eye shadow palette – £39.00

So I’d heard so much about this palette from other bloggers – some that loved it and others that didn’t rate it much. It was one I’d been considering buying for a while so once I heard there was money off it I decided to go for it – and I’m so glad that I did. This palette has such gorgeous shades that can create so many different looks. I’ve found that I can create both day and night looks easily from this palette.

There is such a wide range of shades in this palette which I really like as it means you can create a massive range of looks. It’s just such a pretty palette. How beautiful are these shades though?!

The one thing that did put me off a little bit from this palette is the peachy smell – it just reminds me a little bit of kiddy make up. The smell is quite strong when you’re using it as well which does annoy me a little as it can get a bit sickly but the shades are so gorgeous and versatile that it makes up for it.

The shades themselves are extremely pigmented and are so easy to work with. I find them easy to blend together to create stunning looks. I absolutely fell in love with the shade ‘luscious’ as soon as I started using it – it’s such a glamorous colour that can be used in so many different looks. The shade itself is very shimmery with a sort of metallic finish.

Have you used Too Faced’s sketch marker or their Sweet Peach Palette? What do you think about it?

I know, I was so disappointed but ah well, will have to keep testing them out. It’s when the first swatch looks good and it just doesn’t look the same on your face. Too Faced have some good stuff to be fair, I tried a sample of one of their foundations not long ago and actually really liked it. This palette is so pretty, I am so obsessed with some of the shades. I’d say definitely give it a go! Thanks for stopping by Kerry xxx

I’ve heard some wonderful things about that peach palette – I do like fruit scented goods! Shame the eyeliner didn’t work out for you, I’ve always been a bit stingey with my eyeliner pens since they dry up and run out relatively quickly anyway, I never feel like it’s worth my money when I go for a high end one haha xx

It’s so pretty, I love using it so much – often get a bit carried away with the shimmery colours. I wanted to try a more expensive one as I was hoping it would stay on when my eyes water (sometimes when it’s cold out my eyes water and I lose my wings) but this clearly wasn’t the case. Just stick with my old faithful eyeliner from now on haha xx

It is a shame about the eyeliner. I have always ended up buying gel because I find liquid can be hit or miss. The palette however looks really nice. I think there is a great selection of colours to mix and blend with. 🙂 x

I’m so tempted to try a gel eyeliner but not sure how I’ll get on with it at first. It is fabulous, with such a variety of shades you can create endless looks x
