Pretty Little Liars Finale review

Spoilers ahead if you haven’t yet watched the finale.

Right so…. season 7, episode 20.

I think it’s an understatement to say that I was disappointed. I thought the episode itself was pretty good and did tie things in together pretty well in the fact it answered most of the questions I had (how tf did the mums get out of the basement though pls?) but I just felt totally let down by the big ‘twist’.

For one I thought that the whole evil twin was just a bit cliche and is definitely overdone and that British accent she was doing was terrible. Every time she spoke with that accent my whole body just wanted to cringe, it reminded me of the British accents they do in ‘The Conjuring 2’ that just sort of made me want to giggle every time they spoke.

I was a big fan of the ‘Wren is A’ theory and I just felt like it made so much more sense because he always acted a little sketchy and I just feel like it tied it all in together a little better. I also don’t get how Wren didn’t know about Alex when he worked for Radley and with Charlotte but ah well. Oh and the whole ‘wren is back’ was such an anti climax (like hello there Wren the diamond), feel they were just trying to make Alex look all dangerous by showing she had killed her ‘true love’ or whatever. I just found her as a villain a bit rushed.

I was just very disappointed with the fact that it was just another underwhelming reveal (I wasn’t a fan of the Charlotte reveal either), I just feel like they were trying to do something shocking and out of the blue and just made up a completely random plot twist and tried to make certain scenes go with what they created.

I am glad we got to see Aria and Ezra’s wedding because I’ve always been a fan of that relationship (even though it irks me out a bit when I think about the start of their relationship). I know people love Emily and Alison but i’m so not there for that, I just feel like Alison was such a bitch to Emily and teased her so much that I don’t get why she’s just done like a 360 and now loves her but guess that’s just me.

Don’t even get me started on the end seen with that Addison going missing, I swear if they try and reboot the series with this new set of ‘liars’ i’m going to write to Marlene King like can u not. I found that whole Addison being problematic thing so unnecessary like I know it’s meant to be the ‘new Alison’ but just was not needed although I did enjoy Jenna’s scene (I can smell the bitch on you, ye gurl).

I did spend a lot of time after watching the finale looking at the #PLLfinale tag on twitter as I am so there for the gifs describing how people felt about it.

Have you watched the finale yet?

What did you think of it? I’d love to hear your thoughts on it, I know some people loved it and thought it was a great ending so i’d love to hear your comments.

I agree think they were just trying to pull things from thin air for shock factor but didn’t really do it for me :/ Spencer’s whole family are so confusing first her and Ali shared a half brother now spencer and Ali are cousins but there’s a twin who’s been missing for years?!? It’s all too much for me

Yeees like with the whole Charlotte thing, feel like that was just out of thin air and so unneccessary. Omg I know, basically Spencer’s dad has had sex eith everyone in Rosewood ahaha
