My Goals for 2018

Today’s post will be focusing on my goals for 2018. I thought this would be the best post to kick off 2018 as it gives me a few goals to aim towards.

2017 was the year I first started my blog and I’m super proud of how much I have improved in such a small space of time. I’m hoping a few goals will help me improve my blog even more (woo).

I wanted to keep this post short ish as I wanted to make sure that I didn’t make too many goals for this year and end up stressing myself out (as per usual). So I figured by just setting a couple of goals that I would hopefully be able to focus more on them (and achieve them).

Blogging Goals

Be more organised – I go through stages where i’m super organised and have all my posts planned for the next few weeks but I need to make it a little more consistent so I’m not panicking last minute.

Use a blogging calendar – I got a super cute one for Christmas (as you can see in my photo) and know it’ll be really helpful for planning days I need to write or take photos and when they’ll be published.

Read more blogs – I try to read blogs as much as I can but get so caught up in life I don’t get to do it as much as I want to.

Keep growing my blog – I don’t have any targets in mind at the moment as I still feel relatively new and don’t want to become someone that’s just in it for the statistics. Although I do love when people read my blog so this year I’m just going to try my best to keep getting my content out there (and maybe make some new blogger friends – yay).

Make smaller goals more often – Making smaller goals always makes things seem a little more manageable and a little less daunting. This is definitely something I want to focus on this year, I feel like I’m going to be way less stressed out if I just break things down a bit more.

Personal Goals

Try to stress less – This is a massive one for me, I find myself stressing about every tiny little thing (even my stress stresses me out).

Look for new ways to relax – This links in with the first one but definitely something I want to aim for.

Find a job I love – I’m super unsure about my future and what I want in life (super scary ah) but I just want to find a job I feel happy in. At the moment I just feel down all the time about work, I feel like it takes over my life too as i’m too tired after working (6 days a wekk just wipes me out ugh).

Pass my driving test – I’ve been doing lessons on and off for soooo long (too long).

Save money more effectively – Something I’ve never been good at (probably means calming it on my crazy spending).

Take more photos – I think this is such a fun resolution as it’ll mean I have so many memories I can look back on. I want to make sure I take more sort of funny pictures as well, rather than worrying too much about how I look in them (silly pictures are always my favourites).

What are your goals for 2018? Would love to hear about what you want to achieve this year!

Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and wishing you all a happy new year!

A blogging calendar sounds like a really good idea! And I love your goals overall. I really need to invest in a memory card for my phone so I can take more photos too 😀

All very important goals! I feel the same about work. I would like a new job, but I have no specific work goals though I think that is ok. I just want to be happy, like my co-workers & have some flexibility.

You have a good mix of “things I need to do” and “things I want to do” – which is good because if a goal list is all the “eat your vegetables” stuff, it can be demoralizing!
