Hey, so it feels like ages since I did a normal post (after Blogtober I felt super drained). I’ve decided I’m going to do a movie magic post every month now I think – so I have the chance to talk about all the movies I watched in that month. This is just a trial for now as I love talking about movies so going to see if this is enough for me and go from there.
This post is based on the movies I watched in the cinema this month. I went about 5 times in one week (can’t resist a good cinema trip).
Blade Runner 2049 (2017)
The cinema screen we watched this one in was a little loud (which meant that all the shooting and loud noises made my ears ring a bit). Overall I really enjoyed the film though. Ryan Gosling was actually really good and it had an exciting and interesting story line. I kind of wish that Jared Leto had been in it a little more though – felt his character had more potential. Some of the shots were so visually pleasing to watch as well – the way that it had been shot and edited was gorgeous. Definitely give this one a watch – especially if you’re a fan of the original.
Happy Death Day (2017)
This was actually a lot better than I was originally expecting. I thought that it was going to be super repetitive and get boring after a while. I actually enjoyed this film and found myself interested in where it was going and who the killer was going to be. It was lighthearted and not too much to it which was pretty refreshing when it comes to horror movies, the ending wasn’t too obvious which was another plus.
Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
I watched this twice in about three days. I absolutely loved this film – there was so much comedy in it (kind of felt like the Guardian’s of the Galaxy in the way that the humour was used). It was absolutely hilarious and had so many amazing characters involved in it. It was such an interesting story line that kept you gripped and excited throughout the film. I just love Thor as a character as well, there’s so many parts of this film that I absolutely love. Have to say that Korg was absolutely hilarious and definitely a character I would love to see more of, he was part of what made the film so funny. I definitely recommend watching this if you haven’t already – thoroughly enjoyed it and would be up for watching it a third time in the cinema.
Have you seen any of these films? Are there any you want to see?
There are so many movies coming out in the cinema soon that I absolutely cannot wait to watch. Murder On the Orient Express is one that I am very excited for – there is such a fabulous cast and the story line just sounds so exciting.
