I actually watched quite a few movies in the cinema this month. There is a wide range of different films here which is exciting.
I’ve also got a new Movie Magic header which I think is so cute and I’m really loving.
Murder On The Orient Express (2017)
I really liked this film. It was such a good mystery – I was pretty clueless through the whole film who the killer was going to be. The twist at the end really got me. Some really interesting characters as well which made the movie that much more interesting.
Justice League (2017)
I didn’t have massive hopes for this film after Suicide Squad and Batman V Superman. All in all I thought the film was pretty average. I really liked the Flash’s character (it made me want to watch his stand alone series). The film as a whole was mainly a set up for the Justice League getting together. I thought some of the action scenes were really cool but a lot of the dialog was pretty flat. It also kind of annoyed me how Wonder Woman was still moping after Steve even though it was like 100 years later. The last thing that really got me was Superman’s CGI chin – I just couldn’t stop staring at it. He looked like human shrek.
Ingrid Goes West (2017)
I really liked the concept of this film. It’s all about a girl who ends up stalking a girl she follows on Instagram – which I think is definitely something that could happen nowadays. The film itself was fine, wasn’t massively exciting but I did think it was such an interesting idea. Aubrey Plaza was amazing though, it was really cool to see her play a different sort of character and she really nailed it.
This movie was not at all what I was expecting. I thought it was going to be sort of a dark comedy – which it was not. Suburbicon got to a place where it just all exploded and all the characters just snapped and were trying to kill each other. It was a bit of a mess really – seemed like there was way too much happening. The two main story lines seemed to have nothing to do with eachother.
A Bad Moms Christmas (2017)
I didn’t think it was as funny as the first movie, some of the jokes in this seemed really forced. It is a lighthearted comedy with some funny parts (particularly the sexy Santa competition). Was really fun to see what the girl’s mums were like.
If you missed October’s Movie Magic Post, you can check it out here.
Have you seen any of the movies I’ve talked about? What did you think?
