I finally got my hands on Makeup Revolution’s wonder concealer. Many people have been saying it is dupe for one of Tarte’s concealers (i wouldn’t know whether or not this is true because i’m too broke for that lol) but it took me so long to get my hands on one of these concealers because of the hype. I’m sure this isn’t the first time you’ve heard about Makeup Revolution’s Conceal and Define Concealer. I meant to write this post weeks ago but kept getting sidetracked and getting excited about other posts that I kind of forgot about it.
Nearly every product that I have used by Makeup Revolution has been brilliant and I have absolutely loved. Everything from their highlighter to their eye shadow palettes has been fantastic. They are an affordable brand with a lot of amazing products and I’m really glad that they’re successful and launching even more products.
Anyway after searching many Superdrugs and constantly looking online I finally found the shade that I wanted in Birmingham. I say the shade that I wanted but to be honest with you I sort of just chose one at random because there wasn’t a lot of options there. I was lucky with the one I chose as it actually matched my skin tone, there wasn’t a lot more I could do as they didn’t have any testers.
I’d just finished my NARS concealer (and by finished I mean scrapped the last bit out with an ear bud) and thought that I’d give this one a go as I had heard so much about it. The concealer was only £4 (what an absolute bargain). They have 18 different shades to choose from and I bought it in shade C3.
I’m not sure why but at first I was a bit weary about this product. I think that sometimes when a product is hyped so much by beauty bloggers that it’s sort of just a chain of people saying they love a product when really it’s just sort of average (am I the only one who thinks this?)
Well I have to say from the first use of this product I really liked it. The concealer is extremely creamy and easy to apply. I found that it blends really well with a beauty blender and covered the dark circles under my eyes well. I never used to be a massive concealer fan but with this one I have found myself using it more and more. I’ve even used it a few times on it’s own for when I can’t be bothered with a full face of makeup but want to look a bit more alive.
I found that this particular shade is really good and helped to brighten up my under eyes a lot and made me look more awake. I think for the price this concealer is really great and I would definitely use it again. I can really see why this product has been hyped so much and I’m so so glad that I tried it out. Definitely recommend this concealer if you’re looking for something new and don’t want to spend it much. I have found that some concealers can go a little dry and cling to dryness under my eyes but this one has a really nice creamy consistency that blends well to conceal dark circles.
I need to replace this product soon as I’ve almost used it all already. I’m just hoping that it’ll be easier to get this time around.
Have you used this product? If so, what did you think? Are you a big fan of Makeup Revolution? Would love to hear what you think.
