Makeup Revolution #Revoholic Edit

So just after my birthday I got this Makeup Revolution #Revoholic set with some of my birthday presents. It was huge and on offer in Superdrug so I just couldn’t resist getting it.

The case itself is so handy as it has storage space for the make-up (it’s now home to a lot of my palettes) and a big mirror when you open it up so you can apply your make-up.

The set comes with Ultimate Nudes 2018 brush set, our Flawless Unlimited palette, Flawless 4 eye shadow palette, Revoholic Eyes palette, Luxury Banana Powder, Rose Gold Skin Kiss Highlighter, Ultimate Blush palette, Ultra Pro Glow palette.

Ultimate Nudes 2018 brush set

The brushes are gorgeous. It’s been such a long time since I got myself new brushes and i’m honestly so glad I got these. They feel amazingly light and fluffy but are also great to blend with. I even tested out the foundation brush (which I haven’t done in a while because I love my beauty blender) but found it gave me such a smooth finish. Absolutely love how the powder brush feels and makes my powder look. Definitely recommend these brushes to someone who wants a fabulous set that won’t break the bank.

Ultimate Blush palette

I’ve always wanted to try out a blush palette as I love the idea of mixing and matching tones and having a big choice of blushers to use without buying them individually. Can’t say I’m massively impressed with these blushes. I found the last row was way too pink to use. It made me look like I was super embarrassed over something and even when I tried just applying a little I found it overpowered my face (not sure if this has something to do with my super pale skin). The top 4 blushers are quite nice colours but still found that they weren’t my favourites.

Ultra Pro Glow palette

This is such a beautiful palette – all of the highlighters are so pigmented and give a beautiful glow. The darker toned ones are a bit dark for my skin but that’s probably just because I’m so pale. I am a big fan of Makeup Revolution’s highlighters (peach lights is my go to). I am really enjoying this palette and will definitely be using it more often.

Eyeshadow Palettes

I’m a sucker for eye shadow palettes (in case you didn’t know). This set came with 3 different eye shadow palettes and they’re both gorgeous (and ones I didn’t already own – yay).

Revoholic Limited Palette

They’re mostly neutral and gold shades in this one but they’re all so gorgeous and perfect for the Christmas season. They’re all metallic/shimmery finish which are absolutely beautiful. I only found out that some of the shades in the palette are highlighter after I I’d used them all as eye shadow but it’s pretty cool that you can use them for both and they blend well together.

Flawless 4

Some of the shades in this palette are quite similar to some that I have in another Makeup Revolution eye shadow palette but this is a very useful palette as a lot of the colours featured are quite neutral which makes them fabulous as a base. There’s a few glittery shades in this palette that are so pigmented and perfect for Christmas time.

Flawless Unlimited

I’m absolutely in love with the purple-y shades that came with this set and love that you can make so many different looks with it, there’s some really unique shades in this palette. I love the packaging of Makeup Revolution’s eye shadow palettes and how they have a mirror to make for easier application.

Banana Powder

I’m not going to pretend that I’m super cool and all knowing – I have no idea what to use banana powder for. I tried to use it to bake but just felt like it gave my skin a bit of a yellow tint.

Rose Gold Skin Kiss Highlighter

I actually couldn’t find this. I know I had it when I bought the set but I’ve somehow managed to completely lose it since then which seems ridiculous (what am I like aye?)

Hope you enjoyed reading this post, would love to hear what you think. Do you like Makeup Revolution makeup? Have you tried any products from above?

Banana powder is often used as a setting powder to brighten the complexion. It’s not for everyone, I personally use one from NYX that is slightly less yellow and more brightening hehe.
