L’oreal Hydra Genius Aloe Water (Normal to Dry skin) – My Skincare Saviour

Hey everyone.

Today’s post is focusing on skincare, I’ve got a couple of these planned as I’m trying to focus on looking after my skin as it’s super important to take care of it (and your make up will always look better if you have a good base). So recently I’ve been looking for a new moisturiser, I was using No7’s day moisturiser and even though at first I was really liking it, I found that after a while it wasn’t absorbing into my skin very well and just left me feeling a bit greasy. I found it a bit too thick for the day and it kind of just sat on top of my skin which wasn’t the best feeling.

So I find with moisturisers that trying them out for yourself is always the best as everyone’s skin is different and it’s hard to tell if a moisturiser that’s good for someone else will be good for you.

Lovely Lise over at Lushtivity recommended this one for me and I saw it as soon as I walked into Superdrug so I decided to go for it. It cost me £9.99 but I had 10% off of that so I didn’t mind too much as it’s quite a big bottle. (It’s on offer at the moment for £6.65 in Superdrug)

This one blew me away from the first use, I absolutely love this product. I use it twice a day instead of my moisturiser and I haven’t looked back. After the first use I could already feel the difference to my skin. It’s a very liquid-y product but it’s absorbed almost straight away and leaves no residue or greasy feeling on the face.

I’ve been using this product for about a month now and have found my skin feels a lot softer and looks brighter. I love the feeling of this product on my skin and how refreshed and energised it makes me feel. I felt like my skin was looking a lot fresher and seems to be brighter and a lot more moisturised. I would definitely recommend this product, especially if you’re looking for a new moisturiser.

It’s very different from the typical moisturiser with the consistency but it feels amazing on the skin and that’s the most important thing. Also, I really love the packaging, it comes in a glass bottle with a pump which I think makes it look really fancy and the pump is great for making sure you don’t end up with too much product left over once you’ve applied it. All in all, I’m really loving this product.

What is your go to moisturiser? Have you ever used this Genius Aloe Water before? I hope you enjoyed this post. Would love to hear from you.

Have a lovely day all.
