So if you follow me on Twitter or Instagram you may know that I was in London earlier this week. I had such an amazing time and managed to cram so much into the two days that I was there.
I went up on the Monday morning, stayed overnight and went home Tuesday about 7pm. I had a super fun time and tried to do as much as I could whilst we were there.
The main reason we were in London was to go and see Wicked. I booked tickets for me and my boyfriend in December, I did it on a bit of a whim as I got an email from Seetickets saying they had cheap tickets on sale (I was hella excited eek). I paid £20 each for me and my boyfriend which I thought was an absolutely amazing offer.
I am so in love with musicals and love visiting the theatre so much. I’d never seen Wicked before (and didn’t even know the story line) so I was super excited. I absolutely loved the musical. Defying gravity is the only song from Wicked that I had heard before (thank you Glee), it was so amazing live. It made me feel so emotional. I absolutely loved how Wicked tied in with the Wizard of The Oz. If you’re a fan of musicals then you should definitely check Wicked out. Wicked is currently touring the UK (I know it’s visiting a lot of large theatres).
Before watching Wicked me and my boyfriend took a trip to the ice bar. It was something I had wanted to do for a while but we’d never gotten around to doing as you need to book in advance. You’re in the ice bar for around about half an hour, me and my boyfriend just sort of messed around the whole time we were in there. It was so cool that everything was made from ice (even the glasses), it was smaller than I was expecting but such an exciting experience. The cocktails were so good as well. The first cocktail was included in the price of the ticket and entry. Then lucky for us every refill was £5 (this was put in your original ice glass, you had to pay extra if you lost or broke the original glass).
We visited the Natural History Museum which was really fun and interesting. There was so many groups of school kids there though which made it a little hard to see everything and get close to some of the exhibits. Whilst we were there an emergency announcement kept going off which was freaking me out so much, still not sure what happened (they wouldn’t tell me when I asked).
I may or may not have dragged my boyfriend into Harrods. I felt way too poor to even be in there, everything just looked super fancy. We nearly got frozen yogurt there but it was £7.00 ish so we decided to find somewhere else to get sweet treats. My boyfriend did buy me something from the Hudabeauty stand in Harrods (I’ll be writing a post about it soon, I was so excited ahh).
Overall our trip was so much fun and I really enjoyed it. Our hotel was in Victoria which made travelling around super easy, our hotel was about 5 minute walk from the Wicked theatre as well which was a huge bonus.
Even though I’ve visited London several times there are still a few things I want to do there. I still haven’t visited Camden (which I really want to do because look how good the food looks!!!) I also want to visit the sky gardens and sip cocktails in a super tall building.
Hope you enjoyed this post.
Have you seen Wicked before? If so, what did you think? What are your favourite things to do in London?
As always, I would love to hear your thoughts.
