So I was super lucky and won a contest on Instagram for me and my girl. The competition was on Red Letters Day, you just needed to tag one of your friends and say why you wanted to win. I tagged my housemate Meg and said that we were stressed little eggs because she was doing her dissertation and I was trying to sort my life out (what's new aye). Anyway we won and we were soooo excited. After a few mishaps (had some situations with postage as we moved out of our house and couldn't collect some of the prizes) we finally have all our prices. We won a cocktail making masterclass (which I will be going to Manchester for in a few weeks), £200 worth of benefit products, £50 Boux avenue gift card and £100 to spend on prettylittlething. Obviously I was over the moon. I nearly cried when I got that notification.
This is a post focusing on the benefit products I received. I love benefit and every product of there's that I have used I have absolutely loved. (I'm an avid hoola user).
So me and my friend shared the products so I'll only be talking about the ones I kept.
I've used this primer before and have to say I love it, it gives me such a smooth base and reduces my pores so much for easier foundation application. I've always used this without foundation just for a little bit of a base when I didn't have time to apply lots of makeup and have to say it did a good job.
I know i'm a bit late with this one, I was eyeing it up for so long and when it was in the package I nearly cried. It's so pretty and so pigmented!! It's perfect for a summertime glow (love, love love it).
This can be used both as a blush and as a brightening face powder. The shade is a bit lighter and chalkier than Galifornia but it makes a nice daytime blush. It adds a little glow to your cheeks without being over powering.
Girl meets pearl
At first I was hella confused on how to apply this I won't lie but I was actually a real fan of this. Was my first time using a liquid highlighter and I love it, it's so easy to apply and gives an amazing shine to your face. It's sort of a rose gold/pearly colour which is different to any other highlighter I had, it's super pigmented and gives a gorgeous glow.
Posie lip and cheek tint
I was a bit skeptical about this as i'd had a sample of one of their tints before that I found quite hard to blend and was very bright. This tint was a nice pinky colour that gave a bit of colour to my cheeks andlooked great on the lips. The trick I found that worked best for applying it was patting it into the skin rather than trying to blend it.
Hope you enjoyed this post.
What's your favourite Benefit product?
I'd love to hear from you.
