BBC Good Food Show in Birmingham – December 2017

So on Sunday 3rd December I visited the Good Food show in the NEC in Birmingham. This was my first time going to an event like this but I would definitely go again.

The event was very busy, filled with a lot of people which made it feel a bit squished and manic at times but overall I really enjoyed my day.

The day started off with watching the Hairy Bikers cook. They were so funny and the food they made looked delicious. They were very entertaining to watch and kept things light and fun.

I had an absolutely wonderful day and came away with a lot more than I had planned to (my purse was definitely a bit lighter oops). There were some amazing deals that were just too hard to pass up and after trying all the delicious samples of liquors and wines I felt a lot more inclined to start spending (it is possible that I felt a little tipsy).

There were so many different food samples to try which was so exciting. I tried so many different food samples, everything from different cheeses to  peanut butter.

The goody bag was amazing, I was so surprised with how much was in it. When I saw that they were giving out goody bags, I thought it was going to be little bits and maybe some vouchers but I was pleasantly surprised. I even got a new toothbrush from it hehe.

I ended up getting a bit carried away and bought a bit more than I was originally planning on buying. As you can see I bought quite  a lot of alcohol, it was just way too tempting (especially with Christmas so near). I bought 2 lots of sours, one was mango flavoured and one was black currant flavoured. They were 2 for £10 and it was so smooth to drink. This tasted too good not to buy.

These ‘peppup’ products were so good. One is pasta sauce and one is a ketchup that also works really well as a dip. It tasted so good I couldn’t resist it. The roasted pepper flavour was so rich and tasty, I can imagine that it’ll taste so good with pasta and some garlic bread (of course). They were 2 for £5 which was a pretty good offer.

I heard someone say that as we went on the Sunday (the last day of the show) that we got some of the products for cheaper than the other days. I definitely felt happy with my purchases and had a very nice day.

Hope you enjoyed reading this post. Got a lot of fun posts planned that I can’t wait to share with you as well.

Did any of you go to the food show this year? Or have you been before? Would love to hear about your experiences.
